This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every school year I anxiously await for my new batch of kiddos. Every year my little eager beavers are what keep me going every day. I look forward to seeing them daily to teach them new concepts in fun and engaging ways. Every year my classroom consists of a wide range of students with different abilities and interests. Some of the materials I am requesting are books to ignite their love of reading. This year I want to provide my students with a wide range of topics.

I believe that books are designed to encourage children to explore the arts and develop their creativity.

With these new books, my students will be able to go on reading adventures. I believe that every child's future can be built through reading, but in order to build their future, I need tools, in this case books.

I want to provide each student with a blank book that they will be able to decorate (with shimmer markers being requested). These books will be used as reading incentives, every time a student reads a book they will receive a sticker to place on their reading sticker book. Chocolates will be placed in our gum-ball machine and be used as reading incentives as well.

Clear bins will be used to store stickers to be an easy access for students to view and choose stickers.
