My Students

I teach students in a self-contained classroom with students of varying grades and ability levels throughout the day. All my students have some type of disability and need repeated practice and hands-on activities in order to succeed in learning. They love STEM-type activities and reading books along with flexible seating options. My students know how to brighten your day and are always eager to learn. Each student has unique learning needs that I take into consideration when developing lessons.

My Project

These books will help enhance my classroom library of print-rich books for higher leveled readers in my classroom. The hands-on STEM activities will motivate my students to learn and want to participate in the learning activities that take place in my classroom. Everyone likes a motivational reward for work and these STEM activities will serve those motivational rewards that are also learning activities in and of themselves.

STEM activities have always reached the vast majority of learners and remain fun, hands-on learning experience for my students.

I strive to meet the needs of all of my students on different instructional levels when purchasing materials for the classroom. With such a large age gap and ability level, STEM activities involve all my students in the learning process.
