My Project

At the end of every school year, I assess my classroom library. I see which series I need to replace individual books in or the whole series. I ask the upcoming 4th graders what books they would like to see in my room. I also check to see where I can add representation or books that might spark the interest of a reluctant reader.

Books with representation and a wide variety of interests are key to making all kids into readers.

It is my goal to provide a classroom that gets kids excited about reading and a space that ensures that all people feel safe and welcome.

Adding more books to my classroom library is always important, but with that I have to find ways to organize the books so students can see them and easily access them. These books and bins will help me do exactly that.
