This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My readers aren’t just reading books they are comparing texts and expanding their thinking using varied and complex texts. They love being able to go book shopping and add new books to their books bags. Unfortunately, due to campus closure, they do not have access to the texts available on campus. We were hoping to access the texts so that they can be mailed to each student individually. I want to continue to foster my scholars love for adventure, mystery and suspense through reading. Thank you!

My Project

The adventures don't stop just because school is out! And the learning must go on by exploring more complex and interesting texts. We will use our journals to respond to questions, ideals, comparisons, and contrasts noticed in the each of the four texts requested.

This project will serve as a gateway to reading complex for my readers who will be moving on to 5th grade next year.
