My Project
Students in my school have very few books at home. They need books in their hands in order to increase their literacy skills. Students will learn to read sight words, read from the front of the book to the back and learn to love reading. The Elephant and Piggie, Mercy Watson, Pete the Cat and What Should Danny Do are well loved books that students will enjoy. Pig the Stinker, Doug the Pug, Do unto Otters and It's Not My Fault are great books. Students will be encouraged to retell the story they know so well with a beginning, middle and end to the story.
Please help get books into the homes of students so they can increase their literacy skills!
