Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my fifth year of teaching. I am in an SEI Kindergarten classroom. I have worked in a similar Title I school and have always been very passionate about helping these students. I have seen what the schools have to work with and always found myself wanting to buy materials that the students could highly benefit from, but not able to do so.

Our school places an emphasis on teaching the whole child to reach their full potential, and I would love to do so with all of the proper tools and materials.

Kindergarten is such an important year, thus I am working to ensure we create a positive impact for these students!

My Project

The Hop on Pop books will be used in class to study rhymes and read during Read Across America week, as our school celebrates during the week of March 2nd. The pencils, toppers and stickers will be gifted to them to use in the classroom and to put on their Chromebooks or desk shields. The cardstock paper will be used for various activities we will create not only during the week of Read Across America, but for the rest of the school year as well. This will be the first time some of these students will be celebrating this day/week and I would love to make it special for them. Thank you.
