My Students

The school I teach at is in the state of Utah in a town called West Jordan. The students I teach largely come from middle socio-economic status. My students are wonderful, intelligent, and eager to learn and have new opportunities. They have goals and dreams that I am working hard to help them realize and meet.

These students love hands-on activities and I am always looking for ways to make their learning more relevant and engaging.

I love these students and want them to be as successful as they can be to continue to move our world in a positive direction.

My Project

I want my students to have access to books and materials that will enhance their learning and will provide them with a print-rich classroom. The books that I have selected are books that will add more diversity to my library and address self-efficacy and self esteem. I want my students to be able to see themselves in the books in my library. These books will help them do that. I have a few students whose primary language is not English, so I've chosen some books in Spanish to help them enjoy their independent reading time until they become more fluent in English.

I want my students to be engaged in their learning and stay focused.

The fidget toys I've selected will help my students to stay focused which will help them to be more successful in their learning.
