Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders love relaxing on the carpet and reading along with books on CD. This helps them access text and vocabulary that they cannot yet read independently without needing teacher support.

During small group time, students who are not working with me can stay engaged in developing literacy skills (vocabulary, comprehension, story elements) by listening to books on CD.

This project adds four more CD players and a new set of books to add to our reading collection. Many of my students love listening to books while following along with the story, and they will be excited to see some new books they haven't read yet!
