My Project

In response to the pandemic, our children are still recovering from missed opportunities for social interactions, learning, and relating.

This project will allow students to share meaningful stories to build social skills, appreciate diversity, and address social-emotional learning.

The 5th-grade class will mentor a 1st-grade class and read books about empathy, diversity, perseverance, and positivity! Students will meet in small groups and share a story, activity, discussion, and snack. 5th graders will be empowered, practice reading, and boost self-esteem. 1st graders will receive the gifts of mentoring, attention,

and relatable stories.
