My Project
One of my favorite parts of teaching English to high school students is connecting with them through discussions about books.
Many of my students are enjoying books in a series, but inevitably, books go missing; the books requested in this project are books from popular book series that have gone missing this year.
When these books go missing, it's impossible for other students to check out and read the rest of the series!
Each semester, my students complete an independent book project. They read a book of their choice (usually chosen from my classroom library) and complete various activities like drawings and other visual projects to demonstrate their mastery of the standards. These books will help us complete the book series where we're missing books.
We are also in need of a new bookshelf to help store our classroom library. I have been so fortunate to be able to build up a classroom library, thanks to Donors Choose, but we have outgrown our current bookshelves and need more space to continue expanding our book selections!
Please help me complete our missing book series and have enough room to store all our books by funding this project.
