These carefully selected texts seek to affirm each students' unique experiences. They also promote social-emotional learning and community building.

I commit to fostering an inclusive and enriching learning environment.

One way to achieve this goal is to provide students with diverse literature that celebrate their own cultures and identities while also introducing them to potentially unfamiliar ones. By exploring various narratives, students develop empathy, understanding, and respect for similarities and differences. This creates a supportive and empowering learning environment where all voices are valued and connections with each other are made in meaningful ways.
