Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to add books about mothers to our school library's collection.

These books include both human mothers and animal mothers; even some superhero moms!

I think my students will really enjoy reading these books about one of their favorites- Mom!

Our school library had been neglected for many years. Most of the books in the library were 20-plus years old. My goal for this year is to have a collection of 8,000 books for our 700 students. I also want to drop the average age of the books to 10 years. Having a full and updated library collection will inspire more students to check out and read books.
