My Students

I teach Pre-K, ages 3 to 5 years. All of my students have overcome adversities or live with trauma or a special need. Most of my students live in poverty. I individually try to bond with each family and put my best foot forward to get them the intervention services they need. My students are a blessing to me because each one has a special place in my heart.

I believe these students will achieve their goals in life through education and have bright futures.

I set individual goals for each student. I focus many of my lessons on science and math. These students are very young, and it is up to me to set their educational foundations.

My Project

We need board books in both English and Spanish relating to math concepts.

Our class will use these books to read during small group to learn shapes, counting, one to one correspondence and basic adding skills.

Learning math is a top priority to improve our over all classroom scores in math development. These board books will be used during large read a louds, open ended conversations, independent reading, lending library for our ESL learners and small group. We will branch off activities relating to the books and sing songs to make counting fun and exciting. Our students love to sing and play games and we will use these books as a foundation in math.
