This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to add books about endangered animals to our school library's collection!

These books will allow my students to learn about endangered animals and how we can help keep these animals from becoming extinct!

Animal books are very popular in our library. I think my students will really enjoy reading these books and I hope that they will be inspired to act on what they learn!

Our school library had been neglected for many years. Most of the books in the library were 20-plus years old. My goal for this year is to have a collection of 8,000 books for our 700 students. I also want to drop the average age of the books to 10 years. Having a full and updated library collection will inspire more students to check out and read books.
