This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Growing up, I didn't like to read, I did not have many choices and books were old and not interesting. I was a struggling reader. I did not have many options in books. Therefore, I did not want to read. But, when I became a teacher, I said to myself that I was going to provide many genres of book. Books that are fun, enjoyable, and interesting to read. I was going to provide my students with an abundance of books. I was going to give them a chance to read different authors and genres. Thanks to this organization, I have many books.
I am requesting bookcases to store our classroom library books.
We have bookcases that are old and falling apart from the back, that are missing the back part, and some that I semi-fix. I would love if we can receive new ones. Thank you so much for your support and dedication to public education. I truly appreciate everything this organization has done for my students.
