My students are a joy to teach. They are very hard workers and love challenges. They are eager to learn new things. They ask questions, they help each other and they encourage each other to do their best. Our class motto: When we share with one other, we make each other smarter.
My students have recently won two contests for their literacy growth.
The students have realized that hard work and a sense of community within the class, does pay off. They are so excited and are looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish next!
My Project
My students are always eager to read 80,000 words or more words a month which is our goal every month. However, my students have read most of the books we have. Therefore, my students need new books to help them reach their goal every month.
I am requesting these books because they will be of high interest to my students.
When they really enjoy certain types of books they are more apt to read more. We are especially looking forward to using the book about money, The Wrong Shoes: A Book About Money and Self-Worth. I can use this book to help them understand how money and self-worth coincide with each other.
