This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Each day we serve over 100 students in our active school library. We have one day in our rotation where we have three periods of double classes! That is A LOT of Book Love coming in and going out. Books often get stacked up.
This nifty, lavender, single-sided book trolley will play a vital part in organizing and quickly returning books to the stacks for students to check out.
We currently have one book trolley behind the Circulation Desk to organize books. Rolling it out to put books away and stacking the books on the ground as they are returned is not the best method for book care, let alone quick turnover for checkout. This more compact trolley will help us get a group of books, especially the popular books, back out for checkout much faster. Some of our most popular titles right now are Winter holiday books, soccer books, cookbooks, different types of cars, and a variety of bibliographies for reports.
