My Project

I am currently teaching in a self-contained special education classroom for children with autism. I have 6 boys and two girls in my classroom. They all have a wide range of academic abilities. Our classroom is participating in learning about the Lunar New Year. I have set my Lunar New Year goal to learn more effective strategies to support my students.

I am requesting the following books: Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism, You're Going to Love This Kid, and Learners on the Autism Spectrum.

This Lunar New Year, our classroom will study another culture by exploring photos, videos, books, and pictures. I wanted to go even further and make my Lunar New Year Goal to engage in a book study to become a better teacher for my students.
