This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using novel studies is a great way to bring learning to students. They can learn all about different people's experiences.

Engaging in novel studies within the realm of social studies provides students with a dynamic and immersive approach to understanding historical and societal contexts.

Novels often serve as windows into different time periods, cultures, and perspectives, allowing students to empathize with characters and gain insights into the complexities of human experiences. Through novels, students can explore the intricacies of historical events, social structures, and cultural dynamics in a more personalized and relatable manner than traditional textbooks might offer. This literary approach fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper appreciation for the human stories that shape our world. Furthermore, novel studies encourage students to connect historical events with contemporary issues, promoting a holistic understanding of societal development. By delving into diverse narratives, students not only enhance their comprehension of social studies but also develop empathy and a broader worldview that prepares them for active and informed citizenship.
