Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a third grade teacher at Ralph Bunche Elementary in the Compton Unified School District. Our classroom is in need of bookcases to store books for our classroom library. With all of the new and exciting books that we anticipate, we will need storage space to keep them neatly and safely so they can be read and reread for many years to come. Our classroom is a bungalow that has no cabinet or storage space with the exception of a few movable, metal bookcases. Some of the library books in the classroom are stored in boxes where they cannot be readily seen by students. It would be great to have books on display so that they are easily accessible to students. This will also make our classroom library more inviting and something that every student will utilize and benefit from.
