Please help me obtain more book series my second graders are sure to love, like Isla of Adventure and Dragon Girls, to help keep their reading engagement high and our classroom library growing.
I love being able to suggest a good book series which gets a student hooked on reading.
It's fun when a student comes up to you and asks if there are any more books we can purchase for the class in a particular book series they're loving. But it's even better when you hear one student insisting to another student that they HAVE to read a series!
This past year my kids have fallen in love with Mia Mayhem, Desmond Cole Ghost Patrol, Dragon Masters, and the Eerie Elementary. The kids absolutely LOVED the Last Fire Hawk series. I know that these same series will be big hits for this years second graders. In my quest for finding other series the kids will enjoy I came across more series the kids are sure to fall in love with, Dragon Games, Dinosaur Club and Creature Campers. If you could donate to this project to help me get these new series into the hands of my ravenous second grade readers that would be wonderful.
