My Students
My 3rd grade students represent a diverse group of cultures and they enjoy learning sharing and learning form one another. They are highly motivated and curious learners. In particular, these students love our class read alouds and always have something insightful and thoughtful to share. As a group they are compassionate and kind to one another. It is inspiring to see how eager they are to be in school learning from one another after so much time spent learning remotely. These students are resilient and eager to make progress in all subject areas.
My Project
To support students in our recent character study reading unit we read the engaging chapter book, The Case of the Gasping Garbage by Michele Torrey. This book is about 2 amateur science detectives who solve cases around their town. Students learned about character traits, feelings and motivation through the amazing main characters in this book. It is part of a series and we would love to continue our reading progress by reading The Case of the Graveyard Ghost. We voted on this book as the one we would like to read next! Please help us continue our love our reading by helping us get this book.
