My Project

Panthers are voracious and future voracious readers. Some of them race to the library whenever new manga arrives, some of them wait in 10-person hold lines for romantic graphic novels like "Heartstopper," some of them are reluctant to pick up a book until the right one gets recommended by a friend, some like to re-read their childhood favorites, some of them only want to read graphic novels, and some will only choose books if they hear an extended description of their plots first. Their reading journeys are varied and vibrant.

The culture of reading is growing organically, and the students are beginning to share recommendations with each other and to ASK ME FOR BOOKS.

All of the books on this list have been recommended or requested by students!

I have assembled a group of student leaders and we plan to write book reviews and to share them on our library YouTube channel. They have all kinds of ideas about new displays for the library, books of the month, and ways to convince their peers to read even more. But we need fresh new books.

I don't have a book budget this year and am entirely reliant on donations. Please help us buy the books that the students are asking for!
