My Students

We are part of a larger school that celebrates building a community. I teach in a wing of three first grade classrooms, three second grade classrooms, and a special education classroom. As a first year teacher, I am looking for assistance in getting materials for students, my classroom, and my community. The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, learning based on our learning targets, following directions, and creating lasting relationships. We celebrate little wins together each day.

My Project

Having the book display would highlight important texts I want my students to have access to. In order for them to see how the topics we learn about day-to-day can be in books we enjoy, they have to be able to visually see these texts.

I want to ensure my classroom library is inclusive and inviting for all my students.

Having highlighted texts and informational books that emphasize and encapsulate their learning, would just take my instruction to the next level. My favorite subject to teach is reading. I want to instill my love and passion for books with my kids.
