My Students

In our little town of Belmont, our books are what take us on trips throughout the world. Our classroom is a tight knit community that relies on books to take us to places we've never seen or heard of. We also rely on our books to open our eyes, widen our horizons, and expand our minds to think outside of the box. We come from a small town but have big expectations for our future! Our classroom is full of capable readers just waiting for the next challenge!

We have a wide range of reading levels which means we need many options for book clubs.

At Belmont Central, we are beginning the Lucy Calkins reading program. This means students will be cooperating in book clubs to help each other grow as readers. With the right resources, new books will help inspire and motivate our readers in their book clubs.

My Project

My students are in need of books for their book clubs. We have a wide range of levels and a limited amount of book sets. Not only do we need these books to accommodate for the reading levels but we also need new books that will spark interest in the students who participate.

With your help, students will be able to have choice in their reading lives and will be able to work together in choosing books that will keep them reading for years to come.

My goal is that these book clubs will not only help them grow as readers but also cultivate a love for what they are reading!
