My Students

My class is full of students that have been through so much! They are children that face a lot of stress. Some of them are refugees, some of them eat all three meals at school, some of them live with one parent and many of them are working through significant trauma. They love to be at school! I have never been around students that love their teachers more. It is a safe place for them and I make it the best I can for them.

They come from all over the world and I am working to make my classroom a better representation of all of them.

My Project

The more you read, the more you know!

I would love to have some more book sets to use during small groups.

During our literacy block, we will use books to read together to discuss and learn together. I have in this project a variety of book levels to meet the needs of my students.

As we can read the same book together, students will be able to talk about what they are reading. This will further the transition from learning to read to reading to learn.

These students deserve the best to gear them up for a future of learning!
