My Students

These students are first grade students located on Air Force base housing with a 100% military population. These students come from all over, and sometimes this is their 2nd or 3rd school in just the few years they've been in school. I want to provide a fun atmosphere for my students that makes them feel welcome and comfortable.

All students should feel safe and welcome in a classroom.

With the students that our school serves, I want to make sure I do just that.

My Project

When you read a good book, or watch a good movie, don't you want to share it with everyone? What better way for my students to develop a love for reading than with book clubs! We need multiple copies of different leveled books to allow for a variety of learners. Everyone should be included in book clubs!

With multiple copies of the same book, students can participate in a book club with their classmates.

They can read the same book and then meet as a team to discuss what they've read, what they enjoyed, what's happening in the story, and more! This will not only develop their reading skills but foster that love and excitement for reading!
