My Students

"When does book club begin?" That's the question I keep getting from students I see in the hallway, cafeteria and out by the busses. I created a book club last year and the students that participated want it to happen again!

My students are readers who would love the opportunity to have high interest books in their hands to read.

Our school is very diverse and a lot of our students come from families with low incomes. Our school's diversity is one of the things that makes it so special.

My Project

They will be reading high interest books with other students in the school. This will increase both their reading achievement, engagement and motiviation for reading. Students look forward to being a part of a group and book club each day. This encourages both reading and language development.

Help our students become Oregon Battle of the Books victors!!

With books available for them to read and take home, students are more likely to be successful in the battles. My students are very excited to become a part of these reading battles and will be overjoyed with having the books available for them to read.
