Help me give my students books like The Wild Robot that we can use for Book Club. These books can also be used in the classrooms at the teacher's discretion.
My upper grade students love to read together. This year I am working to introduce them more to the books that are being nominated for awards at their grade level.
Kids are constantly looking for books in multiples so they can read with their friends.
I would love to be able to purchase some sets of these particular books so that multiple kids can read them at one time and we can do a Book Club discussion on them.
This would give them the opportunity voice their opinions and recommend the books to their peers.
My Project
I'm hoping that by doing a Book Club with The Wild Robot we can get more kids to read more books at all grade levels!
Dog Man will appeal to boys (and some girls) in 3rd and 4th grade.
Ms. Bixby's Last Day may appeal more towards girls in 5th grade. I believe that The Wild Robot could be an interest to both boys and girls 3rd grade to 5th grade.
Having multiple copies will appeal to a different level of reading at different grade levels. This will allow us to have discussions at different age groups. Can’t wait to get started!
