These books will allow our 4th and 5th graders to prepare for the Georgia Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. We participate annually in this state-wide school team competition that engages students in deeply reading new acclaimed literature. The selected books are from a variety of outstanding authors and genres, giving students a chance to read books that interest them and explore new styles and topics.
Not only will students have an opportunity to hone their reading comprehension skills, they will experience the joy of discussing literature with others and working as a team!
Plus, the books will live on in our classroom and school libraries, allowing students to enjoy them for years to come.
Your generous support will allow us to successfully prepare for the Reading Bowl. But more importantly, it will allow our students to dive into the variety and wonder of reading and share that experience with others.
