My Students

My students are a wonderful diverse group with bright souls, many of which are ELL students. With ALL of my students also receiving free lunches, my goal is to provide a safe and caring atmosphere for my students

I believe my classroom is a place where students will not only thrive with academics, but thrive emotionally as well.

My students have a variety of different backgrounds and nationalities. There are different types of needs and some are greater than others.

My classroom will be a safe-haven for my students. I will provide them consistency and compassion allowing them to reach their goals and continue on a path of success.

My Project

These book bins will help my students hold the books that they choose to read each week. It will allow them to hold multiple chapter books at a time in order to read the book through completely. I want to promote an environment in my classroom where reading is not only necessary, but enjoyed.

It is important to me that reading is an environment in my classroom viewed with joy by my students.

My students will be using these book bins during every day's ELA lessons. They will be able to use the bins to keep the books that are just right for them. These books are where they will individually practice the literacy skills we work on as a group.

These book bins will help my students hold the books they will be enjoying for the week and longer if they need to finish reading one. Being a brand new teacher, there are a lot of expenses for the classroom and this is one that is necessary.
