Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a 4th grade teacher at P.S. 16, a Title I school on Staten Island. I teach all subjects and love having a variety of books available for the children to choose from. I can honestly say I love books, I spend so much money on books and the children enjoy my class library. The school is located by the Staten Island Ferry in a low socio-economic community. The children in my school have some diverse backgrounds and all struggle with some difficult issues that children shouldn't have to be exposed to. I try to make my classroom a cheery, neat, educational place to be. I put a lot of time and money into my students and my classroom. I found some practical and appropriate nylon bins that would be perfect to store and organize my library books. The bins are in the Store Bed, Bath & Beyond and they cost $8.00 each (medium size). I would need 25 bins in total. I don't want my bins stacked on the floor anymore. The bins even have a small place to put a card with the book level on the outside so the children can see what books are inside. I would love to receive these and organize my library for my students to see when they arrive in my class in September. Please consider this proposal and know that these bins are sturdy and will last for many years to come.
