This project will help provide my classroom with a book binding machine and spirals. These materials will be used to make adapted books for my students. I currently teach in a Title I school in an Integrated classroom setting. This setting helps support 8 students with special needs and 8 typical peers. My program helps students learn to communicate (verbally or through a communication system), self-help skills, social emotional skills, physical development, and independence.
The book binding machine will be used to create error-less books, end of the year books for families, and adapted books.
These projects will provide my students with numerous books that are interactive and of their interest. These books will offer them the ability to be more interested in books and be more independent in exploring books. I will create books that support their learning and development in our program.
