Help me give my students the quantity of Book Battle books that they need in order to keep reading as many titles as they'd like to as quickly as they'd like to!
The students at our school never cease to amaze me. They are kind, responsible and love learning! Our Book Battles group is made up of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders who like a challenge and love to read. Their excitement for this program is contagious! They are excited to compete against each other, and hopefully at the district level, as their knowledge of the chosen books is tested through trivia questions.
More than 90 students have signed up for our district's Book Battle reading program this year and we need more copies of the required books to keep them all reading much as they'd like to!
As of right now, most of the titles have long lists of students waiting for their turn to check them out. Our awesome students need more copies of our Book Battle books so they can keep reading!
My Project
Our district's Book Battle reading program is a reading incentive program and competition for 3rd - 6th graders that encourages students to read more often, as well as try titles and genres that they wouldn't normally gravitate toward on their own.
Having more copies of the necessary books will give these students the opportunity to read as many of the titles as they'd like to as quickly as they'd like to!
Reading more of the books will not only expose them to more types of literature, but it will also increase their success in the Book Battles program. We want Book Battles to be a fun and positive learning experience for everyone involved!
This program is a wonderful way for students to connect with one another through reading and to expand their reading capacity. Thank you for supporting them and their love of reading!
