Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My group of fourth grade dual language students are open-minded, respectful, and love to learn. They come from culturally diverse backgrounds and are learning how to read, write, listen, and speak in two languages (Spanish and English). They are becoming bi-literate in this Title I school as they learn about their bilingual identities and what makes them unique and special.

The book bags will help students stay organized by having a place to keep their materials for independent reading time.

They will provide students with a space to keep their very own collection of books they choose to read. In addition, it would help maximize their time during independent reading time since they will have an organized system when checking out books from our class library. Students will be excited to have a variety of book genres they can read throughout the week while keeping them safe inside their book bags.

The magnetic hooks will be used to stick their magnet unto their desks to hold all their books close to them. While the bookmarks, will help my students keep track of where they left off reading the previous day.
