This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am blessed with the opportunity to teach 20 remarkable students. Every single kid contributes a different type of energy and gift to our community, together creating a beautiful mosaic of brilliance.

The knowledge, languages, and cultural diversity my students bring into the classroom creates a dynamic learning environment.

They are a family of scientists, writers, readers, mathematicians, historians, artists, dancers, activists, and innovators. Please help me give my students what they need!

My Project

Students need access to high quality books at their level in order to read fluently, critically, and with high levels of comprehension. A book can change a child's life. It takes them from feeling that reading is not for them to understanding that the world is filled with wonder that is just untapped and that they are completely capable of.

Help me provide students with high quality books bags that will allow them to store their books safely and efficiently.

Children are currently used over-sized ziplock bags, but they rip constantly and make it a logistical nightmare for kids to check-out books. With these higher quality book bags, kids will have access to books and will feel valued with high-quality materials.
