Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a small, fully inclusive charter school, where almost seventy percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I work with students who are labeled in many ways: ELL, LD, ID, BIP, IEP, SLP, apraxic, autistic, ADD, ADHD, ODD, and the list goes on. I'm working to help students remove their labels and find their feet, as well as their voices.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing they have in common is their thirst for creative learning opportunities.
My Project
This project would put LED technology into the hands of my students as we practice an hone skills for math and or literacy.
LCD Boogie Boards are similar to white boards but they use a technology that is engaging.
Student will love showing their work on these fun, light-weight, magnetic LED tablets and cases that allow students to write, erase, draw, explain, and respond to whatever question we are posing from our Zoom Class! They can be used for charades, character detailing, math practice, and more. The sky is the limit but one thing is certain, they will engage our students from miles away.
