Boogie Boards Make Writing Fun!

My students need several boogie boards for a kindergarten center.

My Students

My student have very poor handwriting and need continued practice in a fun, exciting manner!

A vast majority of my students have not attended preschool and are thrown into a very academic kindergarten.

Things like handwriting often get swept under the rug in order to cover the curriculum that is expected to be covered. Boogie boards would help make handwriting fun!

My Project

These boogie boards would serve as a handwriting center. Children could practice forming letters in a new and technological manner. According to our data, letter formation is one of our biggest weaknesses. The children need continued support in this area that can often be very dull and boring. My hope is that these boogie boards will make it fun and exciting.

Handwriting is something that we all use on a daily basis.

Unfortunately it is not being taught as art of our curriculum. Having boogie boards in my classroom will encourage children to practice their fine motor skills and handwriting each and every day while having fun!
