My Students

"Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them." - Lady Bird Johnson I am a firm believer in seeing all of the possibility in students and helping them to achieve their dreams.

My students come from many different walks of life.

My Kindergarten classroom is composed of a large percentage of students receiving free/reduced price lunch, as well as a variety of ethnic backgrounds. These energetic students come into my classroom every day ready to learn and take on the new challenges that may face them.

My Project

The Boogie Boards I am requesting will be used in my classroom as a way for students to show their work and learning during independent work with Daily 5. After I am able to see their independent work, they are able to erase the board, eliminating copies and paper that is no longer needed. My students will use these Boogie Boards in various small group activities. More examples include: handwriting practice, patterns, number writing, etc. The possibilities are endless! These digital writing tablets will allow our classroom to reduce paper consumption. These LCD tablets are great for student engagement because they can be used just like paper but they are techy so students love them!

My classroom will be improved because students will be excited and eager to use the Boogie Boards.

This would help to keep them engaged in their independent work. We would also be reducing the amount of paper that was wasted in the classroom every day.
