Help me give my students copies of The One and Only Ivan for a school wide experience; every one of us will be reading the same book at the same time!

My Project

Every human has some basic needs that must be met before learning or excelling in life each day! These needs include love, belonging, fun, freedom, power, and basic survival needs.

Our school would like to meet these basic needs through bonding with a shared experience, love, belonging, fun, freedom, power, and choice, which will be met through the exploration of The One and Only Ivan!

We will follow Ivan's journey through a violent and unfair start where he loses his parents and is kidnapped from the only home he knows, through him enduring life as a sideshow act in a mini mall. Ivan overcomes all his obstacles and despite his own suffering rises up to help those around him. Our students will learn so much through this shared experience! Please help us get each student their own copy of this amazing piece of literature to treasure forever!
