This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my third-grade class are diligent. We have a class saying to "Work Hard, Play Hard!" In our class, we know that winning teams work together.

We are diligent, self-motivated, and competitive learners!

We are a hard-working group of students who don't come from the best circumstances but make it a priority to make school fun, engaging, and we set the bar high for ourselves. As a Title 1 school, resources are limited but the motivation to learn is one thing we have in abundance. Please fuel our desire by helping support one of our projects.

My Project

I have been so thankful for the support of donors to help fund my projects in the past. In this project, I am asking for your support to purchase series of books that will primarily fill out my low-level reader section.

I've spent the past two years asking for book donations but I have been unable to find great books that meet my low-lever readers needs.

My plan of action is to purchase these book series to help get them excited to read several books, all at their reading level.

Nowadays, there are too many distractions that take students away from holding a book in their hands. That's why I've researched books that are of high-interest to this generation of kids, including Who Would Win, Pete the Cat, Dr. Suess, and Dog Man. Next, I've included some low-level series like "Biscuit & the Little Pups" and "Henry & Mudge." Then, I've included some classic chapter book series like Magic Tree House. Last, besides a few good random books, I've included some non-fiction chapter books like "I Survived" (Historical Events) and Magic School Bus. I believe that these stories will help foster a love for learning and reading. If you believe the same, please help considering support my students and all the students to come.
