Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our 4th and 5th grade dancers are participating in a World Dance Group. They are learning dances from the Asian and Pacific Islands to perform for Asian Pacific American Heritage month in May.
They are learning the joyful, energetic dance of Bollywood to perform at a culminating event in May.
Our goal is to have our dancers present as an ensemble that resemble the artists of the Hindi film industry as they perform their "Bollywood" routine.
Our dancers are learning about this dance style via the World Dance group. They will have only 10 lessons to learn this lively and dynamic choreography.
Our dancers always rise to the occasion and wish to look the part as they perform for their families, teachers and classmates.
