My students need to have access to materials that contain sample questions for their AP Chemistry Exam Review.
Sample questions are an invaluable resource for them.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are on an A/B day schedule. I see students sometimes only twice a week, so when we are not lecturing and problem solving, we are in the lab doing inquiry based experiments. The college board requires students to know certain lab procedures and I focus on making sure I provide those experiences.
My students are motivated self-driven scholars.
They want to prepare themselves for rigorous college work, so they take AP Chemistry to help in that effort. Most of my AP students have already taken Chemistry and I was their teacher. They liked chemistry enough to learn more and that inspires me to be a better teacher for them and to provide them with challenges and exciting labs that not only teach the subject matter, but peak their interests. Our school traditionally had 1-3 students per year to register for AP Chemistry. Now that I have been teaching the course we have an average of 11 students per year. Our school has a high free and reduced lunch 50% percentage and has been a title I school up until this year. We have about 1600 students in the school and I have been teaching here for 24 years. The students and the community of this school are hardworking and caring. I work hard making sure they are prepared for university level work when they leave my classroom.
My Project
I have used these books in the past to supplement the textbook and materials on the college board website to review important topics for the exam. I envision them being used as a class set until the exam is revised (8 years) again. As a continuous review guide, they will be a constant source of good multiple choice questions on an AP level and free response questions that mirror ones given on the AP Chemistry exam. The best part about these books is that they provide explanations for the correct answers and examples of worked problems along with short review explanations of concepts. In short, they are a one stop all inclusive guide to preparing for the exam.
I have tried to have students bring in money to purchase these books, or go out and buy them and it hasn't worked for the past 4 years.
Only a couple of students bought the books, so it became difficult for me to assign work and use the books effectively in the classroom. I am sure that these books will help the students in a similar manner, especially if everyone can work together with their own copy of the book.
