My Project
Our school has students from all different types of backgrounds. Our students come to school every day ready to tackle any challenges they face. We have students with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language delays, and various other disabilities. Despite these challenges, they continue to try their hardest in school! My students are relearning how to socialize and interact in school and navigate through educational and emotional challenges. Despite the obstacles they face, our students have remained focused on their goals and eager to succeed.
Our students are hard-working, creative, ambitious, and eager to learn.
With the right tools and proper guidance, I have no doubt that they will reach their goals!
Our school is promoting a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. PBIS is used to improve student behavioral outcomes, build a more positive school climate and culture for the entire school community, improve/support our classroom management, and provide a multi-tiered operational framework for achieving positive outcomes for all students. It consists of a clear set of positively and broadly stated school-wide expectations that are observable, actionable, and teachable!
This project is for board games to encourage positive behavior and social skills in all of our students. Our goal is to build a school-wide environment where positive behavior is reinforced. The students will be able to play these board games in school as well as at home and learn turn-taking, following directions, and life skills while having fun and playing games with peers and their families.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
