Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students learn about science through multiple modalities: talking with each other, making observations, using models, and analyzing graphs. Sometimes, the best way to internalize what they learn is by putting it into practice. One of the best tools they can use is through playing board games.
According to New Path Learning, "The interactive nature of board games allows children to make connections, understand new concepts more easily, and retain the information they have learned.
Board games are an excellent way to demonstrate to them that concepts learned within the classroom are also used in everyday life." What better way to increase student learning and engagement than by fun applications? These board games are designed to do just that. Some of these games are even approved by the National Science Teachers Association!
