Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There are often those moments at school where you need a quick activity to fill twenty minutes of time. Whether is be an indoor recess due to rain or excessive heat, a group finishes early, or you unexpectedly have a group of students who need something to do, board and cards games are the perfect filler for those moments.

Help me build a board and card game library to provide activities for students that are off screen and help build positive social skills.

While I grew up playing board and card games, my students have not. Many of them play games on computers but not with people in person. Board games help build social skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and other important life skills while having fun.

These board and card games would be a permanent fixture in my classroom for all of my students to use! Instead of going to a computer for those 20 minutes that we need to fill, students can grab a game and play with their peers!
