Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My new students are ready to learn and excited about our classroom content! I would like to provide them with board games, positive posters and stress balls to help improve their mental health and build classroom community. This will help my new students break out of their comfort zones by collaborating more. This will also aide in their art making process and build positive relationships between students.

These materials would give my students an opportunity to have fun together and create lasting memories which will contribute positively to their mental health.

My plan for this project is to utilize the board games during "Fun Fridays" to start the class and add a unique way to collaborate with peers. I plan to use the posters to decorate my classroom with positive messages for all students. I plan to use the stress balls for my students who are having a hard day and need a simple way to reduce their negative emotions. My new students and I would love and appreciate any contribution to this project for our classroom. Thank you for your consideration!
