Board Games Are Fun!

Help me give my students the chance to interact with board games and help them take a break from technology. I want them to interact with their peers and learn how to cooperate and share.

My Students

Kindergarten students come in and are ready to learn. I am finding that while technology is amazing and transforming our world in good ways, it is also hurting our society by taking away imagination and that ability to know how to interact with others. I love using board games to help my students learn. I have several board games and it amazes me how many students don't know how to play them. I would love to get more reading and math board games to help my students learn and grow.

My Project

I love technology and use it heavily throughout the day. I need to take a break just like my students do and get back to good old communication and imaginative play. I have used board games for a few years to help learn letters and numbers. I am amazed by how many students don't know how to play them and take turns. I would like to expand by board game library so that I can have my students get into small groups and learn how to simply talk to others. It seems like my students want to jump on each other when there is any downtime so I would like to help with this.
