This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students end their day with a club of their choice. Teachers have picked what club to host and kids get to pick. We end every day with a 40 minute club of our student's choosing. Early on, I decided on strategy games. I carefully picked board games that required the students to work together and use their brains.

With $100 from a generous donor, I let the kids go shopping!

They were thrilled to be able to add to our game closet. They had some simpler suggestions, but I insisted that our board games be challenging and collaborative.

We have established a good set of games, and I'm happy to keep building it.
