My Project
My children have a high interest in learning. My students come from high-poverty neighborhoods, which results in a large percentage of free or reduced-priced lunch recipients. My children are beginning to learn how to become life-long learners.
My students need new board books to reinforce basic skills in our classroom library.
This is my students first year of school. They are starting their school journeys. As their teacher, I strive to give them as many new learning opportunities as possible in their first year of school. I teach them to be independent and responsible students.
I teach four-year-old kindergarten and most of my students do not know how to read yet. My goal is to spark my students' love of books by giving them a diverse quality classroom library.
I am requesting board books that are sturdy and easy to read.
I am asking for board books since they last longer in my classroom. My students have the opportunity to look at books daily. I want my students to have the opportunity to have many choices with quality new books.
These books would truly be a special gift for our classroom library.
